Well as we have seen that the recent movie Slumdog millionaire has got 8 Oscars in different categories and rocked the floor with the music but still there a lot of questions floating around.. as an Indian I'm also very happy  Cheesy  for this but I have some points to arise, want to know your views as well in this occasion.  Roll Eyes
**First of all i've some arguments on the way our country was presented, India is not all about slums, poverty, illegeal ways to survive..
**If one has listened to A.R.Rahman's music before I'm sure he/she will agree that this is not the best music by him (atleast not for winning Oscar)..
**Why a specific community was choosen to show that they were so deprived and the victims of Riot?  Huh Just to get get some sentimental attraction??
**Is the Police are so unruly that they arrest a person and give the "3-rd degree" without any Cognizable offence charge (as shown in the movie)  Undecided
These are just my personal opinion, wanted to share with you all, seeking your views too..
Thanks all  Smiley

I am observing since long that many of indian movies, instead i should say more than 70% indian movies get Oscars, as indian directors and fashion designers are highly qualified. thats why, the movies are being liked alot more than we think

There might be a mistake jesi, not even 1% of Indian movies have got the Oscar or even the Oscar nomination.. Cheesy Cheesy The three Indian movies nominated for an Oscar in the foreign language category were: Mother India (1957), Salaam Bombay! (1988) and Lagaan (2001)..  Tongue

It did well to get so many Oscars, but I cannot comment on the rest of what you are saying, because I haven't seen it yet. Would you reccomend me going to see it or is it too fictional and not enough truth? Huh
